The Regulations on flag of Orenburg were adopted on March, 26, 1998 with Decision No 50 of Orenburg city Duma. According to these Regulations:
The flag of Orenburg is a rectangular field, consisted of three horizontal stripes: white stripe at the top (2/3 of flag-width), blue stripe at the middle (1/6 of flag-width), red stripe at the bottom (1/6 of flag-width). Ratio is 1:2. There are coat of arms of Orenburg in the centre of white stripe. The staff of the flag have metal finial.Victor Lomantsov, 05 May 2002
