This page was originally set as a resource for a better identification of cyrillic inscriptions in flags and flag related material. Meanwhile technical and scholar references were made available in the web (and the many small mistakes and lacks of our table) made this resource almost irrelevant, while established Unicode standard implementation in client browsers made obsolete the need for in-line image representation of cyrillic text. We retain it now solely as a transliteration guide to suplement our regular pages.
The transliteration used in these pages copes without ambiguity with all the letters listed, being an univocal character-to-character correspondance.
This table, namely in the cells under "glyph shape", will reflect the capabilities of your software and installed fonts. Although soft format information was added, soughting to cover the most usual fonts, the rendering accuracy will depend on your settings. Unambiguous charachter information is provided under the heading "Unicode": each codepoint can be used as a key to lookup detailed information from the web resources listed above
As before, and more so, this page should not be taken as a linguistic source and we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the provided information.
