The war ensign, actually used by the vessels of the police force, is white with a red cross thoughout and the national flag in canton, following the British model.

According to Album des Flottes de Combat, 2000, the Solomon Islands do have a Navy, with 4 patrol boats, 2 landing crafts and 2 research ships; the same book does not mention any government ships (other than Navy).
