Nynäshamn is a municipality situated south of Stockholm:

From Ralf Hartemink's Civic Arms site:

The arms were granted in 1946 and again in 1977. The arms show symbols of industry and shipping, the two main sources of income in the city and were newly devised in 1946.

In fact this flag is not really a banner of arms, rather it shows the crowned shield on a blue flag higher than wide; the shield itself is white with a black upright anchor and on a red chief with a wavy border are three white gearwheels. The mural crown on the shield is yellow.

Perhaps this flag is only ornamental but it is clear that a banner of arms would be splendid.

The flag is obviously in official use by the municipality itself. I've seen it when driving through Nynäshamn. However, it is not the official flag of Nynäshamn. The official flag of Nynäshamn should be a banner of arms, according to Swedish practice. Unfortunately, the leaders of the municipality are probably not aware of this.

On a side note, regarding the quote from Ralf Hartemink's site: the arms were not granted in 1977, since Swedish municipal arms are not granted nowadays but adopted directly by the municipality itself.
