Presentation of Nova Gorica

Nova Gorica, the city that was built on the Slovenian side of border after the secession of a part of the city that was given to Italy (Gorizia), was formerly known as the Austrian city of Görz.

Flag of Nova Gorica

The flag of Nova Gorica is light blue with a stylized red rose in the canton. I guess the flag proportion is 1:2 like for the Slovenian flag.

The coat of arms shown in Zalokar's book (op. cit.) is similar to the current one, but with a red border.
