Presentation of Dolenjske Toplice

The municipality of Dolenjske Toplice was formed in 1998 by secession from Novo mesto. Toplice means spa, and Dolenjska is the "Lower Slovenia" region.

Municipal flag of Dolenjske Toplice

The flag and arms of Dolenjske Toplice are mentioned in the municipal statutes Statut Občine Dolenjske Toplice, adopted on 7 April 1999, and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 47/1999, and are prescribed by decision Odlok o grbu in zastavi Občine Dolenjske Toplice, adopted on 29 March 2001, and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 28/2001.

The flag is rectangular, in proportion 2:5, horizontally divided in two unequal fields (in proportion 1:2), light blue and light green, respectively. The coat of arms bordered with gold is set near the hoist. There exists both an horizontal and a vertical versions, which differ by the position of the coat of arms.
