Sap flag

Sap (1948-1990 Palkovicovo), Hungarian: Szap, has Hungarian inhabitants. The village was in Gyor (in Slovakian Ráb) County of Hungary till 1919/1920. 1920-1938 part of Czechoslovakia, 1938-1944 part of Hungary. The Treaty of Paris (1947) reallocated it to Czechoslovakia. Flag adopted 3 Mar 1997, based on a seal from the 19th century.
