I have received the following information from Mr. Steve McClary, Management Analyst with the City of Fillmore, California, regarding that city's municipal flag and seal. The Fillmore city flag was designed by a local resident, Pat Rees, and was commissioned on August 11, 1998. The design was approved by the Fillmore City Council (see resolution attached).

CITY OF FILLMORE RESOLUTION NO. 98-2286 ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL FILLMORE CITY FLAG
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fillmore desires to establish and adopt an official flag for the City of Fillmore; and
WHEREAS, establishment of an official flag exhibits pride in the local community and serves as a symbol for Fillmore that can be displayed at important occasions that take place both within and outside of the community; and
WHEREAS, the official Fillmore City Flag shall contain a background field of royal blue, containing in the center the City's color orange-blossom logo encircled by the words "City of Fillmore" and "California", and containing the words "Est. 1888" centered below the above-described logo; and
WHEREAS, the Fillmore City Flag shall be prominently displayed in the City Council Chambers at Fillmore City Hall and shall be displayed at other functions, as appropriate. <
