"New City Flag Adopted
A Committee of Judy Jackson, Chuck Boll, Brian Bailey and Laura Moses led a
campaign to design and select a new City Flag. With the help of The Republic and
their web services, a poll was conducted with two brand new and existing old
design. The new Flag better represents the vibrancy of the community. The flag
was unveiled at this years POW-MIA Plaza dedication. Downtown banners were also
designed to complement the new design. Flags are available by calling the
Mayor's Office. Prices are: $60.00 for 3" x 5" and $90.00 for 6" x 9". "

The City Flag was adopted in 2000. A local artist, Brian Bailey, designed the
flag. The colors represent the Wayfinding areas of the City as follows: Green
(Downtown); Blue (North); Orange (East); Red (Bridges on the West side of Town);
and Purple (South). The silhouette of many local buildings is represented in the
lower section. The flag has a horizontal version for a flagpole and a vertical
version for downtown banners.
