The flag was unveiled at this years POW-MIA Plaza dedication. Downtown banners were also designed to complement the new design. Flags are available by calling the Mayor's Office. The City Flag was adopted in 2000. A local artist, Brian Bailey, designed the flag. The colors represent the Wayfinding areas of the City as follows: Green (Downtown); Blue (North); Orange (East); Red (Bridges on the West side of Town); and Purple (South). The silhouette of many local buildings is represented in the lower section. The flag has a horizontal version for a flagpole and a vertical version for downtown banners.
