Description of the Flag

A blue flag with a central device comprising a ring of yellow disk overlain by an irregular red shape, and a broad blue wavy line across it.

At http://www.ci.grand-rapids.mi.us/images/cityoflogomed.gif  there's a logo image, like that on the flag, with a tool-tip saying "The City of Grand Rapids' logo was designed by Joseph Kinnebrew, an internationally recognized sculptor and painter. The logo incorporates a yellow sun, blue river, and a red representation of the La Grande Vitesse sculpture by Alexander Calder. The logo is used on everything from street signs to refuse trucks.
