Description of the flag
Elk River is the county seat of Sherburne, one of the fastest growing counties
in Minnesota. It is a city nestled between forested hardwoods and prairie along
the Mississippi and Elk Rivers. Located eight miles north of I-94 and just
minutes from Minneapolis, the city is a blend of both rural America and
commercial convenience. The flag is posted at the
Administration Dept page, and is diagonally divided blue over white bicolor,
blue in the upper fly, white in lower hoist. In the center is a side profile of
an elk's head extending out of a central white disk. CITY OF ELK RIVER is
written in the lower hoist.
