Overview

Portuguesa State flag is a triband of blue, white and green (not an unusual combination for Venezuelan state flags, as it can be seen). The widest stripe, blue, has a white and yellow, highly stylised, sun of sixteen rays, which resembles a mechanichal wheel (I asume it's because they try to picture Portuguesa as an incipiently industrialised region, but the person who showed me the model was not sure).
