Description of the flag

Asse (27,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Halle-Vilvoorde.

The flag is: Sable, a lion rampant Argent. Proportions are 2:3. The flag is derived from the municipal coat of arms, itself based on a declaration by Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy in the 15th century.

The flag was adopted on 5 March 1985.
