Description of the flag

Oud-Heverlee (10,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Leuven.

The flag is: Or, a pale Gules, in escutcheon party per pale I Or a chevron Gules, in I and II a crossed cross Gules, in III a lying crescent Gules, II Or a saltire Gules. Proportions are 2:3 and 1:2:1.

The arms in the center are the municipal arms; the dexter part of them is for Haasrode, the sinister part of them is for Vaalbeek; mercifully St. George killing the poor dragon of Sint Joris Weert is left out.

The flag was adopted on 5 October 1988.
