Description of the flag

Pepingen (4,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Halle-Vilvoorde. The municipality was created in 1976 by the merging of the former municipalities of Beert, Bellingen, Bogaarden, Elingen, Heikruis and Pepingen.

The flag is: Sable, a pale Or, in escutcheon gironny in ten pieces of Sable, with three crosses recrossed Or, and Argent. Proportions are 2:3 and 1:2:1.

The crosses recrossed come from the arms of Enghien/Edingen.

The flag was adopted on 2 December 1985.
