Description of the flag

Assenede (13,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Eeklo.

The flag is: Quartered per saltire, I Argent an acorn with two oak-leaves Vert, II Or, a lion rampant Sable, holding a two-headed eagle Sable, III Or, a ship Sable, IV Argent, a horn Azure. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 3 June 1985.
