Description of the flag

Geraardsbergen (31,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Aalst.

The flag is: Argent, a Latin cross on a foot of three steps gules, accompanied at each side by escutcheons, I or a two-headed eagle sable, II or a lion rampant sable. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 26 May 1987.
