Waasmunster (10,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Dendermonde.

The flag is: Party per pale, Azure and Or, in the pale Azure, a sea-mermaid holding a turnip, Or. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 1 March 1988.
