Description of the flag

Middelkerke (16,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Ostende.

The flag is: Party per pale, I checkered of 3x4 Argent and Azure, II Argent, a lion rampant Sable, standing on an anchor Sable, above a six-pointed star Sable. Proportions are 2:3.
The flag is the banner of the municipal arms.

The flag was adopted on 26 May 1987.
