Description of the flag

Nieuwpoort (10,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Veurne.

The flag is: Or, a lion rampant Sable, tongued Gules, holding a lance Sable, on a boat Sable. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 5 November 1984.
