Presentation of Aračinovo

Arachinovo (9,960 inhabitants) is a town located some 10 km east of Skopje, the capital city of Macedonia.

Municipal flag of Aračinovo

The municipal flag of Aračinovo is in proportion 3:5, appparently showing a red mountain under a blue sky and above a green lake or meadow, with a white stripe symbolizing the shore (?). In the lower left part of the flag is placed a large yellow star fimbriated in green and white. Another four smaller, yellow stars rotated 45° are placed on the slope of the mountain.

The explanation of the flag might be rather far fetched, but possibly the shape in the flag suggest the ending slopes of the mountain Skopska Crna Gora that ends just north of Aračinovo.
