Hardenberg municipality
Hardenberg is the result of a merger of the former municipalities of Hardenberg,
Avereest
and Gramsbergen (01-01-2001), the flag in use is provisional
and the same as the former municipality of Hardenberg. Number of inhabitants:
57.741 on an area of 32.000 hectares. Settlements: Ane, Anerveen, Anevelde,
Balkbrug, Bergentheim, Brucht, Bruchterveld, Collendoorn, Dedemsvaart,
De Krim, Den Velde, Diffelen, Gramsbergen, Hardenberg (seat), Heemserveen,
Holtheme, Holthone, Hoogenweg, Kloosterhaar, Loozen, Lutten, Mariënberg,
Radewijk, Rheeze, Rheezerveen, Schuinesloot, Sibculo, Slagharen, and Venebrugge.
The flag has been derived from the CoA. It was designed by Mr. Bultsma
from Kollum. The flag was adopted by municipal resolution of 3 Dec 2002.
Description: Five wavy horizontal stripes of yellow, blue, yellow, blue,
yellow in proportions 1:1:6:1:1, with in the hoist a red clover-leaf.
