Official name: Waterschap De Aarlanden; seat: Ter Aar, Zuid-Holland province.
Flag adopted 6 Apr 1987; design: G Steenge, secretary of the polderboard.
Description: Three vertical stripes proportioned 2:1:1, blue- yellow - red, with on the blue stripe two white swords in saltire, pointing upwards, with below a white hunting horn, placed in such a way that the height of the swords and hunting horn together are 4/5 flagheight.
The colors and pieces are derived from the arms. The blue is the color of the shield of the arms. Swords and hunting horn were the insignia of the former municipality of Aarlanderveen, from which the polderboard derives its name. The inescutcheon is a part of the municipal arms of
