Presentation of Ural

Ural (sensu lato) is the name of both a mountain range and a river, toghether forming the traditional eastern border between Europe and Asia. Currently the russian government somewhat recognizes Ural as one of the top level “economic regions”, in which the first order divisions are aggregated, comprising Chelyabinsk Region, Kurgan Region, Orenburg Region, Perm Region (including Perm’s Komia), Bashkiria Sverdlovsk Region and Udmurtia.
