"For the first time it was mentioned in Hungarian chronicles
of the XII century as a settlement in a Carpathians lowland under
the name of Ungvar (from Old Bulgarian word "fast"). In
1635 it was given a seal with a picture of a vine with bunches of
grapes. The document of giving the Magdeburg Right is not
found."
